To begin this practice, it's always important to go back to the big picture, and remember
why we do this. And part of practicing this supine sequence; this reclining sequence,
is to really reconnect with the innermost essence that's inside, so you'll find the
sequences very calming. And let our intention be really to turn to that place inside that
is always peaceful, always easeful, and calm. Let's start by doing Balasana; the child's
pose, as a great way to turn inward. So you can turn on your mat, take your knees wide
apart, and your big toes touching one another. And then fold forward; your hips should be
sinking down as best they can on your heels. And as you fold forward, the arms and forearms
can rest on the floor, and let your forehead also touch down on the earth. Turn to your
breath, and follow your breath inside. And as you go inside just look and listen, turn
your awareness inward, and look and listen to your own self.
To come out, you can walk your hands towards your knees, and lift back up.
