Today for the Southern Queen of Vegan Cuisine Project we will be making Shrimp, Butter and Tomato Sandwiches.
Here we go.
Vegan Shrimp Butter and Tomato Sandwich Recipe
We are going to start this recipe by slicing a loaf of Italian bread.
If you think that all bread has egg and milk in it, just read the ingredients and it will be fine.
Then we are going to cut open an avocado and slice it.
I am going to layer the avocado slices over the bread.
Sprinkle on some salt, pepper and old bay seasoning. You know, spice it on up.
Put on a few slices of tomato, and then here comes the kicker, we are going to add some nori.
I have these roasted seaweed snack strips, and they are amazing.
It is an acquired taste, I must say but I like it and hopefully you like it too.
Layer those on and we are done with this sandwich.
I love the texture of the seaweed and the tomato and the avocado especially.
It was so yummy and creamy and hmm.
And I must say I added too much salt to mine.
You can go light on the salt, because the roasted seaweed was salted and then the old bay seasoning
has enough sodium in it that you do not need a lot of salt.
