Take a wide leg stance. You can have your feet four to five feet apart. Line up your
second toes parallel. Then, turn your right foot out and check to make sure that your
right heel bisects your left arch. Then, take a deep bend in your right leg. So deep, that
the right thigh comes parallel to the earth. Then the left thigh, press it up toward the
sky. So, the left leg is strong. The right leg is deeply bent. Draw your tail bone down
and lift the low belly up and bring the torso evenly between the two legs. That's it. As
the torso come evenly between the two legs, stretch out with both arms and you can gaze
to lookout over the right fingertips. Then, inhale. Push into your feet. Rise up, turn
your right foot in. Turn your left foot out. Make sure that the left heel bisects the right
arch. Take a deep bend in your left leg. And, as you do also make sure that your left knee
is tracking in line with your left ankle. Sweep your arms out and expand your breath.
Receive the fullness of the pose. It requires so much steady effort, so much work in the
legs. But, so much lightness of heart. And, then inhale and rise up standing. Turn the
left foot in and bring your legs back to the center.
