Is it okay to just eat fruit?
Where on Earth did you get that idea?
Vegan diets are supposed to be ultra-healthy. And the Paleo diet is popular.
Eating more fruits and vegetables would improve the average person’s health. Avoiding processed
foods with extra sugar and fat added does improve your diet.
I’ve heard about a Garden of Eden diet and frutarians. They only eat fruit, returning
to the ultra-healthy diet we were intended to live.
First of all, it isn’t just fruit, because they eat nuts, too. Second of all, they’re
all crunchy granola crazy.
Excuse me?
You have the fruits or the weird ones, the nuts or crazies, and the flakes or the jerks.
Fruits, nuts and flakes gives you granola.
But you’ve already agreed that eating more fruit is good for you.
But not just fruit, or even fruit and nuts. Your body needs a variety of nutrients like
protein, carbohydrates, fat and vitamins.
Nuts provide protein and some fats. I don’t know about carbohydrates, but fruit is rich
in vitamins.
You can’t get B12 without eating some animal products or taking vitamins derived from advanced
pharmaceutical manufacturing.
I’ve heard of all fruit diets as a great way to lose weight.
Yeah, because an all fruit diet tends to have few calories and lots of fiber. The HGH diet
even has days where all you get to eat is a couple of apples.
And an all fruit diet cleanses your body.
You’d get the same benefit from a big bowl of oatmeal every morning, without the malnutrition.
Ashton Kutcher ended up in the hospital after he tried living on an all fruit diet like
Steve Jobs did.
I didn’t know that.
You could live off a vegetarian diet with a lot of fruits and vegetables, plus rice
and beans and lentils. You’ll get the benefits of a fruit diet without the risks like gall
bladder disease and hair loss.
Sounds like the Garden of Eden diet promises paradise but ends in purgatory.
No, just lousy health.
