In animal welfare news, a Singaporean animal protection group commemorates 10 years of
service. Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES) celebrated its anniversary
with a grand vegan gala charity dinner. ACRES is one of the main animal welfare organizations
in the country. It has been promoting cruelty-free living, humane education, wildlife rescue
and rehabilitation, and halting wildlife trade.
Mr. Louis Ng, a vegan, is the founder and executive director of ACRES.

have achieved quite a bit-- creating awareness about animal testing, factory farming and
trying to urge people to go veg.
ANCHOR: Around 300 supporters of ACRES attended this festive event at which the delicious
six-course vegan meal was prepared by Loving Hut Singapore. Loving Hut is a an international
family of vegan restaurants encouraged by Supreme Master Ching Hai to offer affordable,
delectable, and healthy plant-based fare to those choosing compassionate eating.
