Hey Chef Kendra Here and today we learn how to make a big mac style hamburger. We
have some ground beef here. We are going to measure it our patties to 2 ounces each. Then
we are going to prepare a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment. Then we are going
to gently roll our patties into balls. We are going to be pretty gentle with them here.
Then we are going to shape them into patties about 4 and to 5 inches in size and put them
on the baking sheet. We are going to cover them and toss them in the freezer for hour
while we prep the rest of our stuff. Moving on to the sauce we are going to dump some
regular mayo into a bowl, now we are adding yellow mustard. In goes some ketchup. The
link to this recipe can be found in the ABOUT section below. Now we tossing in some dill
pickle relish. Now some minced onions. Some regular sugar. And finally a pinch of salt.
Now we are going to whisk our sauce really well and put in the refrigerator. Now we are
going to chop some onions, and some washed iceburg lettuce and now for our buns. We are
going to cut the top off one bun and a bottom off another bun to make our middles. We need
to 2 additional buns and you know the classic big mac has that distinctive bread middle.
Now we are going to toast these guys up, but very lightly guys. Too much toasting will
have too strong of flavor. Alright set those aside. Our patties have emerged from the freezer
and we are ready to cook these boys. We actually have this pan of medium low and we are going
to cook these for 2 minutes on each side. My flames on my stove do not go very low so
you might need to cook these on medium. OK, guys let s hook up our masterpiece. We are
going to spread some sauce on the bottom bun and the top of the middle piece. We are going
to spread the special sauce around a little bit and then add the onions, on both pieces,
the next thing on is the lettuce we sliced up. Now on the bottom bun goes the American
cheese, if you want to add cheddar or something go ahead, it is your kitchen do what you want,
but it won t taste like a big mac. The pickles go on the middle peace and down goes a patty.
Lift up the middle piece and slide it on the patty. Now the only thing left to do is add
the last patty and slap on the top and eat up. Alright guys, share and it you have not
