Hey everybody, welcome to The Take Out DIet. As I promised yesterday, today on the show we will be making the
Taco Bell Doritos Locos Taco with the original cheesy outside shell.
I am so excited to make the so let's get started.
You want to start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. Next we are going to mix together our seasoning blend.
To a small bowl you want to add in nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper to spice it up,
and Taco seasoning. I am using the same taco seasoning I had yesterday. It's a southwest chipotle blend
by Mrs. Dash.
Stir that together and set it aside. Because next we are going to oil up our corn tortillas.
Lay them out onto a clean surface and brush on olive oil or canola oil or whichever vegetable oil you prefer.
Now it is time to get the party started. Sprinkle on your seasoning blend and brush that in.
I put on a little too much so I am going to dust a little bit off, because I don't want too much to fall into the oven.
My grandmother would be P-I-ssed, if I get her oven any dirtier than it already is.
Lay them over your oven rack, bake them for 10 minutes, and they will be hard and crisp and perfect,
but still soft enough to chew. And then we are going to stuff them with our ground beef mixture, sour cream, lettuce,
roma tomatoes and our nacho cheese sauce. If you want to know how to make our ground beef or our nacho cheese sauce,
check out yesterday's video up in the right hand corner. There is an annotation.
Or the recipe will be in the description below. Honestly I just reheat them. I didn't remake them today.
That would be wasteful and it would prolong the time that it took to cook and eat them. And I can't wait to eat them.
When I first bit into the taco, the seasoning went everywhere. All down my shirt, all onto the floor.
The dog had a field day licking it all up and I think I should have just used more oil or something else.
If you have any suggestions to make it adhere to the taco shell better, let me know.
Other than that the taco was really good. Alli and Charles Trippy from CTFxC say
Doritos smell like dog feet. And I know how my dogs feet smell and these don't smell like that so
I know they are good but they may not smell or taste like authentic doritos if that is your measurement.
It tasted good overall. I really loved them, but I still like the Cool Ranch that I made yesterday better.
Those were so good. These are good too, but those are superior to these. I really love them and love these too.
And if you like recipes like this please subscribe and I think I am out for today.
If you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments below and I will look at them and answer them
and talk to you, because I love you guys. And that is it for today. Bye.
