How do bodybuilders get lean? It seems like they eat a lot of calories.
It isn’t how much you eat, but what you eat.
Please clarify that.
Bodybuilders eat nutrient dense food, especially food that is high in protein.
They’ll eat vegetables and fruit and lean meat but not anything packed with fat, sugar
or empty calories.
So they get lean by eating leafy greens or whole grains, that are high on volume and
nutrients, but low on calories.
That’s part of it. So is the fact that they are working out for hours a day.
Then the high burn rate is how they lose weight.
They also drink protein shakes and health drinks for nutrition, without empty calories.
Then they get lean by eating a lot of healthy food and burning a lot of calories.
True. Body building is a delicate balance, because they need to fuel their workout without
adding a single extra ounce of fat.
They do love their sculpted bodies.
And every body builder hopes that the judges do, too.
Or the girls.
Those are the judges you hope to impress, when you aren’t in a formal body building
competition.
Do guys judge other guys physiques?
Girls judge other girls’ bodies, whether literally sizing up the competition, or simply
envying them.
There was a study that followed womens' eyes, and found that women look at other girls’
bodies as often as the guys.
It’s funny to think of guys being as vain as women are.
It’s just human nature. The difference is, that body builders have to tailor their diet
to power a high performance, high octane lifestyle.
While women can get into shape by starving themselves.
They’ll lose fat, but they look better if they have some muscle definition underneath.
But she doesn’t have to have a set of six pack abs to look good to a guy.
Very true. Though women hold guys to the higher standard.
