today we will prepare shahi paneer.
let's see what all ingredients are required for making shahi paneer.
paneer - 500 grams (cut into chunks)
paste - 3-4 tomatoes, 1 green chilly and 1 inch ginger piece
cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
cashew nuts - 1/2 cup (paste) (soaked for 1/2 hour)
red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
asafoetida - 1 pinch
turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
salt - 1 tsp (as per taste)
garam masala - less then 1/4 tsp
coriander powder - 1 tsp
green coriander - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
oil - 2-3 tbsp
add 2 tbsp oil in preheated pan.
when oil gets heated add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
after suating cumin seeds add turmeric powder,coriander powder,tomato-ginger paste and red chilly powder.
add red chilly as per your taste if you prefer eating spicy food or simply avoid it.
saute masala until tomatoes are cooked nicely.
meanwhile shallow fry paneer.
slightly roast the paneer for better flavor but it can also be used as it is.
add some oil in thi span as well.
tomatoes are cooked;now add cashew nuts paste in masala and cook until oil starts separating from the masala.
keep stirring the masala after every 1-2 minutes.
place the paneer chunks in the pan.
masala should not stick to the pan.
gravy can be prepared from many things.
today we have prepared cashew nuts gravy but you can use peanuts,
gram flour, sesame seeds,coconutm arrarot,curd and malai.

flip the sides when paneer is roasted from beneath.
masala is ready.
now add water as per your preference.
let the gravy boil and add salt.
cover and cook for 2 minutes.
take out the paneer pieces which are fried.
we have shallowed fried the paneer chunks.
fry rest of the pieces as well.
gravy is ready.
add garam masala, green coriander and paneer chunks.
cober and cook for 2 minutes on low flame so that all spices get absorbed in the paneer.
shahi paneer is ready; add some more green coriander.
try adding green coriander in the end so that it aroma stays for long in the curry.
tentalizing shahi paneer sabzi is ready.
we have used 500 grams paneer for making this sabzi.
this much quantity of sabzi can be served to 4-5 family members.
serve shahi paneer sabzi with chapatti, parantha, naan or rice.
