Hello and welcome to Todd's kitchen. There are many cheesecake recipes out there
and this one not only looks good it tastes fantastic to. So join me today
as i make my version of a white and dark cheesecake
We are going to start of by making out base
Now in the bowl here i have about three hundred grams chocolates
cookies and what i have done is put them through a food processor. Now if you don't have a food processor
just put them into a ziplock bag and bash them silly with a rolling pin.
Next i have our butter here that i have melted in the microwave
all ingredients are in the description
so with the melted butter and our cookie mixture
give it a good stir until its completely combined
next i have a spring form pan
i have lined the base with some non stick baking paper, now with some cooking spray oil
just give it a quick grease
then im going to pour out cookies mixture onto the base
so give it a good spread out
and using the base of a cup
push it up against the edges and flatten it out just so its all nice and even
Once nice and compacted we are going to place this into the fridge while we get started on the next step.
Next into a microwave safe bowl place in our dark chopped up dark chocolate
and half our sour cream
Now out this into the microwave for thirty seconds as a time and stir it each time
until its completely melted and combined
now for the main cheesecake part
So into a bowl place in our cream cheese that i have let soften up to
room temperature
then to that two hundred grams or one cup of
caster sugar
half a tablespoon of vanilla extract
and the other half of our sour cream. Now using a hand mixer or a stand mixer
we are going to beat this up until its nice and smooth
Now that its nice and smooth
place in our
lemon zest
and then two tablespoons of plain flour
Now once thats mixed in we are going to start
pouring in our eggs and we are going to do one at a time
so let one beat in
once thats completely mixed through, then do the second one then the third one
So everything has been mixed through
So we have our base here that i have taken out of the fridge
and we are going to grab our mix and what we are going to do is
pour three quarters of the mix onto the base
and then spread
it around
Now with the remaining mixture we are going to pour that chocolate mixture that we made up earlier
right into there
Now mix it for a couple of minutes until its well combined.
Now finally with our chocolate mix we are going to carefully pour it
on top of the white base
and very carefully spread it around
Give it a couple of taps to remove the air bubbles
So now we are going to place this into a preheated oven
at one hundred and eighty degrees celsius for forty minutes and when we take that
we are going to let it cool down at room temperature for about half an hour
Then place it into the fridge for about eight hours or over night
So i have just taken this out of the fridge, it has been there over night and its turned out
fantastic. You have that chocolate layer base there, you have the white middle part
and a chocolate top. So its not only going to be a great tasting cheesecake
it's a great looking cheesecake to
but let's give it a try
well that is delicious
that really really is
You have a mixture of that cream cheese the lemon and chocolate. it really does go
very well. Now as an alternative to lemon you can also use orange rind
which will give it that nice jaffa taste
But no matter if you use lemon or orange this cheesecakes going to taste
simply delicious
So give it a go because it really is an incredibly simple and easy cheesecake to make
And the best part is your family will love it
