Hello it's Magalie from CherryPepper Magazine, today we are making french crepes
This recipe is easy, delicious and perfect to treat your family & friends
Pour the flour
The starch
The sugar
The salt
And the cinnamon
You can put orange blossom water or vanilla instead of the cinnamon
Personally, I recommand using cinnamon
You won't taste it in the crepes, but it will bring a shade that will make all the difference
Pour half of the rice milk
Mix, take the time to stir well
That way it won't have any lump
When you batter is smooth, add the rest of the milk little by little
I always try to use a minimum of ingredients
But you can replace part of the rice milk with water, cider or beer.
Add the applesauce and the grape seed oil, and blend
I like using grape seed oil in baking for its neutral taste and its high smoke point
Let the batter rest for an hour in order to get tender crepes
It allows all the components to bond together
Let's flip some crepes!
You have 2 options: slightly crunchy crepes or soft crepes
If you want your crepes to be slightly crunchy: when they're cooked, let them cool down in the open air
And if you want your crepes to be soft, cover them with a plate or a lid
The heat will create condensation and will allow the crepes to stay nicely soft
Et voilà , bon appé***!
