Good morning, dear ladies and gentlemen
welcome to our balloon-project!
Sponsored by Buerkert!
We are a group of four teenagers and one adult,
Sponsored by Buerkert!
who want to lift a wheatherballoon
Sponsored by Buerkert!
to the stratosphere.
This balloon will carry a plastic box,
that contains a camera and a GPS-Tracker,
both sponsored by Buerkert!
that will permanently record data.
The camera will record a movie. While a second camera is filming downwards,
a first one will film horizontally an record several cloud layers.
Both cameras are sponsored by Buerkert!
After the crash of the balloon, the GPS-Tracker will send us a text message with his coordinates,
so we can pick it up, from where it has landed.
The Gps-Tracker is sponsored by Buerkert!
After having picked up the balloon, we hope to see the recordings and for a good success of the project.
All sponsored by Buerkert!
The helium, we used to fill the balloon, was provided by Harro Vareschi from the "Gotthardstraße" in Munich.
Thank you for your attention!
So, everything is well packed! We're ready; Let's start!
It is 7:41 am.
We wanted to leave 41 minutes ago.
Everybody is waiting for comraid Yalcin Taray.
Knöbl! How do you assess the situation?
Ueehh! Firstly, this is a problem in the time management of the whole team.
We should have known that Yalcin Taray likes to have his breakfast in stages,
while squeezing in showers inbetween
to be able to peacefully consume the second part of breakfast, which is important for the rest of the day.
This means: The planning failed already at the beginning,
when the times were set, and also adapted to Buerkert and everybody else
3 breakfast-stages, 2 showers and one car-drive later:
Now, we are at the car-park. Here is the car, so we can build up everything on this field.
This parking ground is reserved for Buerkert Show-Truck.
What certainly means us. Our car, our bouncing castle, we are going to build up later.
... our roundabout, we still got in the car. We will build these up later, to spend the time during the flight.
Alright, the intstallation-works have started.
There is going to be very much stuff to unload. This may take several hours.
There are 217 boxes is the car, wich all have to be carried exactly there.
...sometimes also back to the car. As you can see, this all is very well organized.
we don't just carry stuff around.
Everything has to be put to the right place, so we can find it later.
Unfortunately, some of the Boxes look very simliar, but anyway you have to take care,
to carry the right box, to the right place. Otherwise, we won't find it anymore.
For Example this is the chest with the flight-box
it is extremly important, we have 17 of these.
... Und da muss man aufpassen ... hier hab ich
Ja toll! Wie krieg ich das jetzt wieder runter?
Extrem rüde diese Leute! hier ist ein Seil an dem er sich erhängen kann später ... weil er gefeuert wird
The highly qualified Experts, continue their perfectly organized work...
Hey, does this record, when it says "pause" down there?
Yes! When the timer is running, it records.
When it says "pause" there, it does not record!
Ok! Check the main camera again.
It's recording!
Mjam, Miam Miam! We found delicious ice cream in this village.
and we received the message from the GPS-Tracker. Now, after having installed a camera in the car,
Miam, Miam, Miam! We found delicious ice cream in this village.
... after having installed a camera in the car, we will leave and arrive in about 1,5 hours
to look for the balloon.
Now we drove as close to the position of the balloon as possible by car.
Comparing our own GPS-coordinates with the Position, I can see here on this Labtop,
the balloon has to be somwhere there, at the end of the forrest.
We will now go there and hopefully find the balloon soon.
Könnt ihr mal bitte aufschreiben...
Luckily a ... probably a woman - first check the settings -
just called us, because she found the balloon, close to the area, we just visited.
This means, the balloon is found, and we can pick it up in several minutes.
This is the family, who honestly found the wheatherballoon, and gave it back to us.
What's your name?
Well, I'm Michael Felsenegger.
And I'm his mother.
And who has acutally found the balloon?
Our grandpa.
...the grandpa! awesome! Thank you very much!
We just found the weather balloon... acutally not we, but a family,
who called us immediately.
That's Colin. He has just hurt his head.
... he has a sundstroke.
... a sunstroke well, the box is in a good condition, besides some small damage.
and the camera with the video is also back here.

After completing the work, and finishing the balloon-project successfully, we are now driving home to munich since two hours.
The balloon has landed in a small village near Karlsruhe.
and arrived well. Unfortunately the box was
damaged and has, as you can see, melted extremly.
We are suspecting young arsonists in space.
We won't report this to the police, because most of theses cases remain unsolved and disapear in the documents of the police.
