This is Steve. Steve's the IT Administrator for this company.
Steve is ready to lead his company to a virtualized environment.
He knows virtualization will save his company money and allow him to improve service levels to his customers.
Steve asked three outside experts to come in and help him deploy virtualization.
The virtualization expert explains all the software Steve will need to learn in order to manage his virtual
environment. How he will need to configure his servers and storage to interact with the hypervisor,
manager, and virtual machines.
The server expert explains how Steve's server infrastructure needs to be removed and upgraded
to the latest and greatest servers in order to run virtualization
The storage expert explains that Steve needs a new storage subsystem.
or else his new virtualization environment can't use any advanced features.
And not to mention, he'll need to provide enough storage permissions, connectivity, and performance to each VM.
Steve is beginning to understand that once a shared storage system is part of a virtualization project
the entire project gets a lot more expensive and complex.
Steve wished he could find an easier solution. One that could take the cost & complexity out of
this deployment.
A way of making the move to virtualization without all the added complexity, expense, and confusion.
Just as Steve was about to give up hope, that this project could provide big cost savings?
a box arrived with his name on it.
What could be in the box that could help Steve build a highly available, virtual environment without the
cost and complexities of separate virtual hosts and storage systems?
Could it really improve the cost savings from virtualization and make management easier
than the path Steve was currently heading down?
Steve found the answer to all these questions when he saw what was in the box.
