I'd have to say tacos.
French fries.
Pizza.
Chipotle
burrito bowl.
Chick-fil-A milk shakes.
I wouldn't eat fast food if you paid me.
The founder Hans Hass he basically
looked at, you know, what was
going on with society and how
the beef was being raised, and
not just the beef, but even the
poultry, how some of that is raised.
Too many people are getting sick
from the pesticides and
toxins that were being fed to the
animals through the corn feeds and all. That was where it came from,
you know, 'everyone wants a burger,
how can I get a healthy burger?'
History has shown that probably
McDonald's is probably not the
healthiest choice so I
think we just come to Elevation Burger because of that.
When I'm like, eating McDonalds
I like want to go to
sleep but when I'm eating
Elevation Burger or
Whole Foods or something, it's
lighter food, so I feel more light.
They are better
informed, they are either concerned about
a lot of things from that standpoint
, whether it be the calories, whether it be
the glutens, whether it be things
of that nature so, yeah they're
definitely been informed and we've
done this to things to try
and make, you know, answer their
needs. You get older and, you know, you want to live.
You know, when you're a kid, you know, nothing really matters.
You live care free.
But as you get older healthy eating becomes really important.
Obviously the pastries and
things with more calories, people are
like 'oh no, I got
to stay away from on that',
so people are trying to choose healthier options.
We have some regulars that come
in and one of the things that
our
sandwiches, some of our sandwiches on request [xx] lettuce.
Part of that question comes back,
and you know, hey, you know, what
can I do to try and cut back on some of those calories?
We don't eat out a lot, you know,
and if we do it is
more or less places like Panera and,
I could probably count how many times
my son has eaten McDonalds, it's probably like ten times.
One thing you hear more than
anything else is that you can actually taste the difference.
I think most people when they try it,
you know, they get a little bit
concerned, they see the word
organic and it kind of scares
them a little bit, and I said, 'try it, you'll like it.'
This day and age, I know
that in order to eat
healthy I think you have to
pay a little bit more, I think that's how,
you know, society is, you know, anything
cheap is probably really bad
for you, so I guess
you just have to make that
sacrifice if you want to live healthier.
We'll probably make a conscious effort not
to eat out all the time and
if we do then we'll probably,
you know, make it a healthier choice - for them.
