Moving on to half lotus; now many people are familiar with the traditional Yoga pose, called
Lotus pose where both feet are on opposite sides. That is very difficult to do. It takes
many years of practice in order to do that. So we're going to start with a half Lotus
and even then, be mindful of your knees because this is a comprising position for the knees.
To help with that, we're going to keep our ankle flexed. Let's take the right leg first.
Flexing that ankle that creates a nice firm foundation from the sole of the foot into
the knee. We're going to slowly bring that foot up on to the thigh keeping the foot flexed.
Bringing the heal deep into the crease where the leg meets the body. Sitting up nice and
tall. And if we feel pain in through the knee, we want to release this because again this
is a comprising position for knees that are susceptible to injury.
