Hi, my name is Chelsea Stevens and I am with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
Today we're going to be making an easy, cost-effective
Grape Tomato and Cilantro Salad. So let's get started.
We're going to start out by adding some olive oil. We're just going to drizzle it over the top.
And then we're going to stir to incorporate
everything into the tomatoes. Now, if you have any children
in your family or household, this would be a great task for them
to do and get them involved in the cooking process.
Now tomatoes are what we consider a "go" food. That means that you can eat them
any time because they are very low in calories but very high in nutrients.
Next, we're going to add some green onions. If you haven't
tried green onions, I encourage you to go ahead and just try it. I makes
it really really good in this recipe. Next is cilantro. It has
a strong flavor, but again, I encourage you to try it. Just, you know,
use a little bit on top and then we're going to
stir it all together. This recipe
is great for a summer day if you're having a barbeque or anything like that.
So there you have it--your grape tomato and cilantro salad.
It would be perfect with a piece of chicken or some fish, any protein
your family really enjoys. So, the next time you're wondering what's for dinner tonight,
I hope you'll check out the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Thank you.
