If you notice that your PC's screen is dimmer or darker than usual
there could be several reasons for this.
The most common are that your brightness settings might have been changed
or the power saving function of your PC may have been engaged
to save battery after a period of inactivity.
Follow along to learn how to adjust your screen's brightness.
First press and hold the Function (Fn) key and the up arrow to increase the brightness of your screen.
Please note: This will work only if Easy Display Manager is running on your PC.
Some PCs might require you to press the Function key and F3.
A good way to tell is to locate the brightness icon.
If the screen is still dim, press and hold the Function key and the F5 key simultaneously.
This action turns on your screen's backlight if it has accidentally turned off.
If these actions don't help, make sure Power Saving Mode is turned off
by clicking the start button then choose Control Panel.
Now select Display and click on Adjust Brightness.
Make sure the circle next to Power Saver is not illuminated.
Instead, choose another brightness option or custom plan.
