We are here at Hunkeler Innovation Days
and this is becoming a tradition for HP at this industry event
that represents a kind of landmark for digital printing.
Of course, this event is particularly important for HP
given the focus that HP has put in the past ten years on digital printing technology
and even more so around solutions
to drive the analog to digital conversion in the graphic industry.
We came to see the latest machine we have bought
- another HP Indigo w7250.
This machine has given us the differentiation
both for our customers as well as from our competitors.
Our most important customers have found a different solution
to reach their VIP clients.
We have focused our services, thanks to the HP 7250,
for large banks that need to reach very specific markets.
These markets need a very direct customized communication on a one-to-one basis.
Digital technology fits very well in this work case.
First of all it's on demand.
Digital printing became more and more colorful
and, of course, the quality has been rising strongly
and this altogether fits very well in magazine printing,
book printing as well as newspaper printing.
Hunkeler Innovation Days is an excellent platform
to present state-of-the-art digital printing technology.
So it has been two years R&D sappi and HP have been working together
to apply the ColorPro technology to create the very specific line of paper that we call Jaz.
What makes this paper so interesting
is that it has been designed specifically for digital printing
so it is much better than regular offset paper when printing digitally.
There is no need for bonding agents and the printing quality is better.
Today what's clear is the commitment that HP has in the graphic industry.
It's a commitment to a significant amount of investment that HP has made in recent years
to provide innovation, not only in technologies and products,
but primarily in solutions that can help this industry
to a successful transition from an analog world to a digital one.
