Vegan Peach Fritters Recipe
Hey my Sweet Vs, It's The Sweetest Vegan here. Today is day 13 of my project to veganize Paula Deen's Southern Cooking Bible
and we will be making peach fritters.
It is not healthy, so be warned.
Vegan Peach Fritters Recipe - Food, How to, Cooking
We are going to start this recipe by whipping up my new egg replacer mixture
It is just ground flax seed and water. It is so wholesome.
Then to a large bowl, I am going to mix together our wet ingredients:
I have vegan sour cream, tofutti brand, almond milk, and that egg replacer mixture that I just mixed together.
Whisk that all together until it is well combined.
To a separate bowl we are going to mix together our dry ingredients:
all purpose flour, baking powder, raw sugar, and cinnamon.
Give that a good whisk until all of that is well combined.
The to a large skillet over medium-high heat, your going to add in a good amount of cooking oil, or frying oil of your choice.
Then we are going to finish our batter by adding our dry ingredients to our wet ingredients
You are suppose to add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, but my wet ingredients were already in a prettier bowl.
And that is my logic.
Then your going to add in your diced peaches. Be sure to just fold them in gently.
You don't want to break up the peaches, because they are beautiful and lovely, and we want them to stay that way.
Then you are going to add you fritter batter to the frying pan. I am just using a big spoon and a small spoon to assist me.
in making up the perfect little fritters.
Once they have cooked for 1 -2 minutes and have become a golden brown on the first side
You can flip them over and you can take them out once they are golden brown on the other side.
It should take 1 -2 minutes on that side too, so this is a quick breakfast in the summer time.
Like I said, it is peach season in Georgia
And even though these are a little greasy on the outside, they are full of peach, juice, yumminess on the inside.
