Vegan Corn Bread Recipe - How to make vegan cornbread with The Sweetest Vegan
Hey my Sweet Vs, Its The Sweetest Vegan here, and
today on the show, we will be making vegan southern cornbread.
It is one of my favorite breads, thats what I grew up eating, my grandmother made it like everyday.
every other day. Maybe not, maybe we just had a lot of leftover cornbread from Sunday
But anyway, I am also using my new camera from the YouTube Next Up Program, so if things look a little funny
this is my first time filming with it, so forgive the quality of this video
And here comes the recipe.
So this recipe is pretty simple.
Start off by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F.
Then in a cast iron skillet, add a little bit of vegan butter.
And put that in the oven while it's preheating.
So your pan can preheat and your butter can preheat and it just makes for good good vegan cornbread
So next, in a large mixing bowl, we are going to mix together the corn meal, whole wheat flour,
baking powder, and salt.
The in a separate container, mix together the almond milk, olive oil
and agave nectar, mix it together well.
Then the last step is to mix them together. Pour the almond milk over the flours
Whisk is all together, you may need a little more almond milk depending on your flours. I did.
And you just want to combine it until the texture looks similar to mine.
THen put the vegan cornbread in the oven and let it bake for about 30 minutes.
