DAVID POSTADA: Hi. This is Dave for Expert Village. Today, we're going to make one of
my all-time favorite comfort foods, salmon cakes. Okay, what type of salmon we should
use for our salmon cakes? This is the old style. This is the way I grew up with. Whether
we get the--my mom would get the salmon out of the can. This is red salmon. Also, you
can also get Sockeye salmon or Pink salmon in the can. This is, this is really good.
You can use it. It's really an easy thing to do when you come home and it's been a long
day and you just want to make some nice comfort food. Well if you have the time, what I would
prefer to do is actually use salmon fillets. And a lot fresher, of course, as you can see.
And you can make it as coarse or as fine as you want for your, for your salmon cakes.
So I like a little texture to mine. This in the can sort of falls apart a lot and it's
almost like tuna. Really flavorful, but, again, this one you can control the texture.
