here we go for this 2nd part of GTX 700 intel video boards video...
this first thing is just a cooler from Phanteks that is compatible with all stock intel board because the socket is at the same place on all
that could be a pretty nice thing for custom cooler makers because they can have an optimized cooler that fit a wide range of cards
so here, all the empty space is used
this middle piece is a heat riser it's like a bent over vapor chamber that rise GPU heat up to the HPs
with that, you get 40dm² of heat spreding area (as much as a 120mm CPU tower cooler) and the card gets 30cm long 3 slots and 4cm wider
and like other Phanteks products there is blue, red, silver, and black vers
and of course i had to do a NUC with those intel boards ^^
it is like the actual NUCs, but with an extra PCB under that have a PCR socket, and a QSM slot (1GB max because of height)
with that you should get a fine console quality gaming by playing on your TV, and the NUC still very small
of course to cool it, the best option was piezo fan and the heatsink have 0.6dm² of spreading area
i also did an EVGA cooler, but it wasn't interesting at all so i did a low profile card after the socket update
it is an Akasa v3R Venom Spear it need a 6pin power and is 18cm long no QSM RAM limitation even for this size
the fan should blow air around and under itself to get more airflow in the various heatsinks
GPU heatsink have 2.5dm² of heat spreading area so might be noisy, but enough for v3k GPU
shroud is attached by those side latchs so it is easy to remove in order to place GPU and RAM
and finally here is a v3R laptop, the toshiba NEKT which stand for NEw Key Technologies (and also sound like next, for next generation ^^)
as you can see it is textile covered but it's not a case, it's the laptop itself and that make easier to carry around protected
and it also give it an original look ^^
there is "dusk" written on this one because there is 4 vers dusk with p² 4x3 CPU and Celeron v1 GPU (which is pink-ish) noon with p² 4x3 CPU and v3 GPU (which is orange-ish)
dawn with p² 2x3 CPU and v3k GPU (which is green-ish) and night, with empty p² and v3R sockets
lot of things are pretty special on this laptop, here are some : e-ink keyboard (so customisable layout) with Tactus haptic layer that create bumps on the screen to simulate buttons
integrated leap motion (betwen screen and keyboard) flat membrane speakers to have best sound even on a laptop 21:9 ratio screen (2560x1080), and again, piezo fans ^^
those are the 2 stands that also recharge the laptop battery is at "bottom" and laptop opens from top to make it easier to acces the inside, and change chips
so this is it for 2nd part, last part should come next week even if now i might have less time because i'm on a hardware website project with some peoples :p
