Welcome to this screencast about the PHPEdit SyntaxChecker.
When you open PHP files, PHPEdit will check there syntax and highlight your possible problems within the code.
You can see that with the red highlighted line and inside the statusbar.
As you can see, there is something wrong with the loop in line 9.
You can get more details by moving your mouse over the error or by right clicking the syntax checker inside the statusbar.
When you click on that error, PHPEdit will take your caret to the line where the problem is located.
After we have fixed the error, PHPEdit will check the file again and the statusbar will tell us that no error has been found.
On slower machines it might be useful to disable the automatic check.
We need to perform the syntax check manually then.
We can do that from the statusbar or from them menu item for this command.
After we have fixed the error and run the syntax checker again, it will report that there is no error left.
