Is it acceptable that in Belgium, today
more than 20.000 women have to undergo every year
the trial of abortion, a amount that represents
almost a fifth of the births in Belgium and this amount is constantly growing.
Is it acceptable that some keep on speaking
about a so-called "right" to abortion even though abortion
is only decriminalized in very strict conditions
and that nobody, thanks to his liberty of conscience,
is obliged to stop a pregnancy.
Is it normal that a brochure which is a real promotion,
and even a encouragement to abortion is distributed, still today, in schools
with the support of the French Community of Belgium
This brochure, which is edited by the Centre d'Action Laïc
(CAL) is entitled "The Right to Abortion in Belgium"
pretends, despite the law, that there should be no justification required
to access abortion.
The distribution of this brochure in schools violates directly
the principle of neutrality of the State.
Every year, more than 600 late-term abortions, even though the Report of the Evaluation Commission
for Abortion only mentions couple of hundreds,
but in the facts, more than 600 late-term abortions
are performed due to a serious OR uncurable infection of the foetus.
I say "OR", because the law mentions that the infection should be very serious
AND uncurable. In the facts, we get rid of foetusses that
have an infection which is serious OR uncurable.
Is it acceptable that a foetus can be eliminated, beyond of the legal delay of 12 weeks
after conception simply because he has clubfeet?
It is mentionned in the Report of the Evaluation Commission for Abortion.
In this conditions, I affirm that a latent eugenism
is probably installing in Belgium.
Why are we here today?
We are here to oppose to all violence inflicted on women,
in particular the violence of abortion. We feel solidarity and are close to all women
who are brought and sometimes even forced to interrupt their pregnancy
due to their situation of poverty, of precariousness, material but also spiritual,
and due to their emotional and homely insecurity, due to pressure in their environment.
We have to support and help these women to keep their child.
Women who had an abortion and suffer from psychological and emotional difficulties,
and there are a lot of them, we also have to listen to them and accompagny
them and most of all love them.
We are here to defend the rights of the unborn child
who is a full living being a individual who is distinct from the mother
who carries him. We have to respect this child, love him and
protect him.
Why? Because human life is the most fundamental right.
The right that establishes all other rights and values.
How can you be free if you're not alife? How can you be happy if you're not alife?
How can we love and be loved if we are not alife?
We are here to restore in our society the perception
of how sacred human life is. To develop a culture of support to women
who are expecting a child. A culture which values motherhood and fatherhood.
A culture which welcomes children like presents from heaven,
like a miracle from nature.
If we are here, it is to defend and to promote an authentic, real, generous culture of Life!
Thank you for your presence!
Have a good march
