What I can't stress enough, regardless of your skin type, is keep your skin regimen
simple. People often do way too much to their skin, end up causing more trouble. If you
have dry skin and you're less likely to get pimples, what you should be using is a gentle
soap-free cleanser, a moisturizer with SPF in the morning, and a moisturizer at night.
If you have oily skin, you have to do a little bit more. I think a weekly clay-based mask
with kaolin is going to help clean out your pores and reduce the amount of oil in your
skin. In addition, someone with oily skin should probably be using a retinoid like Retin-A,
as well as an either an alpha-, beta- or poly-hydroxy acid to help prevent pimples. And if you prefer
natural products, palmarosa is a wonderful natural antiseptic and antibacterial that
can help prevent pimples if you have oily skin.
