Hi, I’m Doctor Katherine Prinz and I practice with the Boys Town Ear, Nose, and Throat Institute.
I received my medical degree from the University of Nebraska and went on to receive my training
in Otolaryngology at University of California Irvine.
I decided to go into medicine when I was 17. Prior to that, I had wanted to become a veterinarian
but my high school had a career day and I went to the one on becoming a physician. I
decided that was for me. As far as deciding on Otolaryngology, the first few weeks of
medical school we start with head and neck anatomy. They told us this is the hardest
anatomy we will have all year, once we get through that the rest will be a breeze. I
loved it.
When patients come to see me, I like them to feel like they have come to see their sister,
their daughter or their mother. I want them to feel like they can tell me anything and
all their issues are addressed and questions are answered.
I’d like patients to know that we have the best facilities, physicians, nurses and audiologists
anywhere.
