Should you dye your eyebrows to match your hair?
It’s rare that someone’s eyebrows are so obviously out of sync with their hair color.
I heard that dying your eyebrows makes the hair dye look more authentic.
If your eyebrows are that much of a contrast to your hair color, you need a different hair
color. Unless your hair is pink or green, at which point it is already certain the color
is unnatural.
Do you have a better idea?
Use an eyebrow pencil to make the natural eyebrow color blend in with the artificial
one. This way, there’s no risk you’ll get hair dye in your eyes.
Eye brow pencils aren’t available in the same array of colors as hair dyes.
So use light or dark eyebrow pencils to even out the shade. Or get them tweezed and add
black penciling so that the color is uncertain but clearly made up.
I don’t want to use an eyebrow pencil.
So put powder on the eyebrows to blend them in.
It will make my eyes look funny.
If you have dark eyes, lightening the eyebrows can make the dark eyes stand out. If you have
light colored eyes, you want darker brows.
So if I have blonde hair coloring, I want black eyebrows to make my eyes stand out.
What if I dye my hair red?
Not all red heads have red eyebrows. But putting neon red colors on your eyebrows will make
you stand out in a crowd.
I’d like to look natural.
Many red heads have auburn eyebrows, and a lot of blondes have dark brown eye brows.
If the hair on the head and the eyebrows are a perfect match, it is a clear sign that both
are fake.
That’s why you add highlights.
That’s why you change your color to something that doesn’t look like a freak show.
Or I could just shave off my eyebrows to eliminate the problem.
That is a freak show.
