Hey Cookaholics, Chef Kendra here. And today we are making Cheese Steak Stuffed Peppers.
We're going to caramelize some mushrooms and onions so let's do what we do and head into
the kitchen and make it happen.
We've got our stuff good to go. We also want to preheat our oven to 375 degrees.
We're chopping some onions, and some garlic.
Let's get our peppers ready.
I'm going to show you how to cut a pepper for regular stuffing. Cut off the top, and
you can use the pepper around the stem for another dish it's often wasted.
Now take a spoon and go around the edge of the pepper getting as much of the rib as you
can.
Scoop out the center. Then go back in and get whatever you missed. Remove the rest of
the seeds.
For this dish, guys, we're going to cut the peppers in half the long way.Now we're going
to place these boys on a baking sheet.
We're adding oil to our non stick pan that's under low heat. We're adding in our cleaned
and sliced mushrooms to the pan, I wash my mushrooms.
Now the onions go in, and the garlic too. We're adding salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper
to the mix and we're going to stir.
We're going to stir this occasionally for 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes drain any excess oil and add the beef to the pan and mix all these
stuff in well.
Add a slice of cheese to the bottoms of the peppers, just like so. Now we're going to
add evens amounts of our mushroom and beef mixture to each pepper.
Now we're going to cover each pepper with another slice of cheese.
We're going to bake these guys off until the top is all melty and a little golden brown
and tasty. That's all it is to it.
