Hey ghostbusters fans! Thought I'd show you the pke circuits.
Or rather, soldering one, and then testing it out!
So... I'm just gonna go and
solder this wire onto the board
and onto the Arduino here. This is for the potentiometer.
And, once I do that I should be able to power it up,
and show you the different speeds, and how the lights work.
This is a prototype, so the ribbon cables that are on there
are not the ones that are on the PKEs that are shipping.
They're just some rainbow ribbon cables. I have some...
some better ones that I'm going to be ordering. I also don't have the pushbutton switches
hooked up yet for selecting the modes. Or, I should say, for the RGB PKE,
it would be the rotary switch,
on the RGB PKE, for selecting modes.
I don't have that yet, so...
I got some of the film soundtrack in the background here for ya.
This uh... this PKE here is gonna be going up on EBAY.
'Cause it's the prototype. It's not...
not one of the ones I'm shipping.
Those that I'm shipping will have
connectors and things. This one's all got permanent connections.
So, the other ones, you'll actually be able to unplug stuff.
Now, I should be able to fire it up!
Got my Arduino development environment open.
Make sure the volume ***'s turned up all the way.
So, I don't have the power switch hooked up right now,
I actually am powering it off the USB connection, which also allows me to program it.
So, um... I don't know what it's gonna do when I start it up.
I think I've got it beeping slowly, but... I will upload the program here in a moment,
with the support for the *** here.
And now we'll see what it does!
I'll let you see the little dots on here.
And there you go!
I'll turn it up a little bit.
Uh, these are also not the LEDs which will be on the PKEs I am selling on the forums.
These are a more yellowish LED, Which I was going to use,
but those are out of stock, and I'm probably gonna pay 5x as much
to get one which are more green. I don't know yet. [laughs]
But, [laughs] they'll be nice, whatever I use!
So, that's it, I'll talk to you later!
