This is First Lady Jane Beshear.
Many of us have a friend or family member whose life has been affected by domestic violence.
Unfortunately, as victims fight to regain control of their lives the shelters that protect
them struggle to provide basic supplies that we take for granted like food, soap and school
supplies.
You can help change that by participating in Shop & Share.
Shop & Share is a one-day goods drive to benefit domestic violence shelters across the state.
This year's drive will be held at Kentucky Kroger, Food City and Super Dollar Discount
Food stores on the Saturday of Super Bowl weekend, February 1, from 9 to 5 p.m.
While gathering game-day supplies or doing your weekly grocery shopping you can purchase
needed goods and donate them directly to the shelters on your way out of the store.
You can also help by volunteering and collecting donations at your local store on Shop & Share
Day. To sign up, please visit firstlady.ky.gov and click on the Shop & Share tab.
Even small contributions can make a big impact on the lives of Kentucky domestic violence
victims.
