i've typed in the frugal computer guy and the frugal computer guy dot com many times
I can also create the shortcut for that by
highlighting copy
tools
auto correct options
I'm using my
left paran
t h
dash and going to call this - and I'm going to insert new
and I also want to create one for
the food computer guy without the dot com
so, I'm going to have
th a left paran th
so we see our
dash is the dot com and i need to
hit new
there we go
now i want to show that the euro is still in the even though we didn't see it so
left paran e
space turns into the euro
if i do left paren
t h
space - I didn't do capital H
left-paren capital T capital H
dash
so there's a couple ways to have auto
correct
work for you
Those auto correct options really help out a lot but we can even improve upon
them little more
let's say that
right here, i want to add
the frugal a computer guy
we noticed that on this line we get the frugal
and and on the next line we get computer guy we want that all on one line
so the way to do that is we need to replace this space with - insert
format mark non breaking space
we also need to add it here
insert
none breaking space
and you see that already brought it down and we need one more
just to complete it - insert
format mark non breaking space
now i want to have this
be my shortcut
not shortcut - this be my auto correct option so i want to copy this
tools
auto correct
and
it's right here, we want to bring up
the full thing
and now we are set - we replace
okay
now if we add this in somewhere - like right here - left paran capital T capital H
space
and he keeps it...
it forces it all down to the next line to keep it all together
when we look at this insert
formatting marks we also have a non breaking hyphen
it does the same thing as those spaces but it's just a hyphen. if you've got a phone
number
that you put dashes in between
it would keep that
phone number or word that's a hyphenated word
that's a non breaking hyphen it does the same thing as the space and the optional hyphen
is if we want to
uh... let's take a word in here in like uh... downloading
we enter - insert in
the optional hyphen
there is not one now and we can see this by going into our print preview
I need to zoom in a little bit here
and we see downloading but if we add some spaces to it
it puts down dash so it adds a dash that's a where we wanna break up a word
if we have to
typing in three dashes in a row
will create
a line
and there's also works with the underline
the
Asterisk
the number sign
and
the tilde
that squiggly line over the n in pinata
so that's four different line types that are created quickly just by typing in
those symbols and those symbols are
dash
underline
asterisk
number sign
or pound sign
and the tilde
libra office
will and a link to he website or an email address if i type in
thefrugalcomputerguy at gmail dot com an hit enter
it automatically makes that a link
i want to turn that off need to go into tools
auto correct
URL
turning that off now when i type it
it does not turn it into
a hyperlink
the mispelled words
underline is pretty helpful most of the times but there are times when we might
want to present this in front of other people and we don't want the
red squiggly lines under words that are
spelled it correctly like thefrugalcomputerguy
to turn this off - we go into
tools
options
language settings
writing
aids
in right here
check spelling as you type
uncheck that
and our squiggly lines go away
and to bring them back
tools
options
language settings
writing aids and we just check that box
check spelling as u type
