Hey everybody, welcome back to Computer TV.
I'm Sam, and today I'm going to tell you all about this
VisionTek PC2TV Wireless Transmitter.
Now, let's say you have an older laptop that doesn't have an HDMI port.
Or, let's say that you don't have an HDMI cable, or a VGA port, or an S-Video.
Let's say if you, if you just don't want to deal with cables,
check out this VisionTek. It's called the PC2TV,
and it's a way to hook up your PC to your TV wirelessly.
Completely, completely wirelessly. So this is a great way
if you want to play YouTube videos from your computer on to your TV,
Hulu, if you want to watch movies, if you just want to view
all your documents in your files saved on your computer
but view them on your TV, this is a great, great tool. OK?
So let's get into the tour. As you'll see, this looks very much like a router,
and it's so, so easy. This VisionTek has made it completely fool-proof.
They've included all of the cables we need. OK, starting up with this antenna,
right here. It's really easy to screw on and off. OK, no tools required.
Now, if you turn it over to the back, you'll see all your buttons.
Right here, this is your power, then you have your sound,
then you have your video, your components,
this is where your component cable goes.
And your Ethernet, right here. And then you have your reset button.
Now, like I said, you don't have to go out and purchase any extra cables.
Everything comes in this kit.
So, let's show you.
Right here, this is your, for your sound,
your component cable, right here.
And your Ethernet cord.
And right here is your power, OK?
So, it's important to note, there are a couple of requirements
that you're going to need in order to get this PC2TV device to work.
And here you go, first of all you're going to need Windows XP or Vista.
You're going to need to be running on a 1.8GHz, or better.
You're going to need Ethernet, or a wireless adapter. One or the other.
Now your TV must have component or an RCA input.
Very important. And last but not least, you're going to need to hook this thing up
to your network. So you're going to need high speed internet or DSL.
OK, so this VisionTek PC2TV will not work without those requirements.
So, let me just tell you something. When I first opened this box,
and I heard of you know, PC2TV, I thought it was going to be
a couple hundred dollars. It's not. It's extremely, extremely affordable, OK?
And it's a great solution if you no longer want to deal with wires anymore,
but you want to be able to watch movies and watch YouTube clips and view your photos
all on your TV. So, check this out. It's the VisionTek PC2TV.
