At RMIT we are transforming our online presence to enhance our reputation as a leader in technology
and design. Our online presence is how the world sees
and interacts with us, it is an integral part of how we stay connected and it reflects our
global reputation. We've begun transforming our content, design and technology to be simple,
accessible and intuitive for all users. These changes will strengthen relationships with
prospective and current students, staff and partners, improve the quality of shared content
and streamline content management. In line with our strategic direction our early steps,
driven by our web community, have taken our online presence from 14th in 2010 to
3rd place in 2013 against out national competitors. This is only the beginning of our transformation
and there are many more improvements to come, including: a new content management system,
which will help simplify how we publish consistent and quality content. New ways of working,
to improve publishing processes and content relevance. New web policies to help shape
a well organised and more effective online presence, and greater ownership and accountability
of what we present on the web. By transforming our online presence we will improve how we
showcase our learning, teaching and research excellence and well continue to enhance our
reputation as a global university of technology and design.
