Hello, my name is Tony Booker. I’m from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and I just graduated
from the seminary in Fort Wayne in May. So, my role has been to be a seminary student
for a long time with an objective to be a pastor that preaches the Gospel. Recently
the Board of International Missions has called me to be an evangelistic missionary in Prague
in the Czech Republic. This is not exactly the way I’d anticipated things. When I was
going through the seminary, I thought I would wind up in a small farm town or small community,
maybe in Nebraska or Iowa, some of the places where my family has roots. But instead, I’m
being sent halfway around the world to proclaim the Gospel there, to be working with our partner
church to build up the relationship with our partners in the Czech Republic, and to minister
and be a pastor right in downtown beautiful Prague with an expatriate congregation – a
place where I can proclaim the Gospel the way I’ve been trained at the seminary, baptize,
bury, and tend to all those in need. This is the mission that I’m being sent on to
do for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that I’d love to have you partner with me on.
You can do this in a number of ways. Obviously, we want your prayers. My wife, Connie, and
I will be counting on that as we go through the transition and moving and getting to know
people in a strange place with a strange language, but we also need your financial contribution
and help so that we can get this accomplished, and we can get there on site to proclaim the
Gospel. Thank you so much for your help. Please keep us in your prayers.
