WESTON: I think that hasn't been as much change at the college
since the implementation of the Block Plan.
KRISTINA: It's going to transform Colorado College.
BRIAN: The strategic plan recaptures the initial innovation of the Block Plan
but now takes it to another level.
We're taking something that's already outstanding make it even better.
ISAAC: Everything that we're doing is going to have a big impact on
the next group of students. Being able to contribute to that is really exciting.
ANGELA: You can tell it wasn't just written by the administration and
the president's cabinet. It's a very accurate representation
of all the constituencies who want to make CC a better place.
JOEL: From the Year of Listening to the Year of Planning and now to the Year of Implementation
ANDY: I think it's truly an opportunity for us to start implementing a lot of things
we've been talking about.
So that's where the excitement is.
The best laid plans are just plans unless they are implemented well.
SANDI: The strategic planning process has enabled us
to talk in a collaborative way about how we can bring all of those
goals and objectives together.
GREG: A lot of integration of learning
and a lot of saying, how do we bring different fields together
to provide truly new ways for our students to engage with the world.
SANDI: Lab experiences, field trips... ANDY: Figuring out how we can leverage the summer program
and improve that
More student internships, more travel abroad much more robust
use of Venture Grants.
KRISTINA: The opportunity to increase collaborative research between students and faculty
EMILY: We really can
build a center where all the resources to support
innovation, creation, entrepreneurship, all under one roof.
Allowing students started from the ground up to develop their ideas
RE: A place for students to feel comfortable with how they're learning and what they're
learning at CC.
WESTON: So many things that give students more opportunities to really excel
shine show what their passion is.
AMY: One of the things that I'm really excited about for the college is its recommitment
to sustainability. It is a part of the ethic of who we are.
A recommitment to the Block will ensure that we are a unique place moving forward.
SANDI: We'll probably be known
in a very short amount of time not only for being a college that uses the Block Plan
but one that provides a form of learning
that is perhaps like no other.
Faculty will be more excited about being here.
I think our students will be better prepared to go out into the world
RE: It's gonna be busy. It's gonna be rich.
SUE: It's really going to be an exciting ride.
JOEL: We have a lot to look forward to.
