The new visual feedback for the 3D Free Rotate operation is described in another clip, which
shows how this feedback works.
Besides free rotating elements, it is also possible to free rotate Sub-elements of a
Morph element. This command works on Edges and Faces. Select any number of Morph Edges
and Faces, then click any point on any of the selected sub-elements, and activate the
Free Rotate command of the Pet Palette. Then click three points to define the rotation
center point, then the starting point and end point of the rotation arc. The feedback
will show on which plane the rotation will occur.
After the Free Rotate operation, the body of the Morph element will regenerate based
on the new positions of its sub-elements.
When an Edge is Free Rotated, its two End Nodes are also rotated and this will affect
Edges connecting to those Nodes and Faces surrounded by those Edges. When a Face is
Free Rotated, all of its surrounding Edges are also rotated, so all connecting Edges
and Faces will be modified accordingly.
