I'm trying to write with a glass pen made entirely of glass.
It's a very old idea this, and the ink runs down the little fine veins here,
and you have to keep dipping it in.
It's real ink, it's a real old pen, and it's glass;
let's try writing glass pen.
There's definitely a technique to it.
We have a nice little bottle that you can put the ink in, and we have a little stand,
when you've finished your message, to rest it on.
I did find that when I first started out I needed to wipe it with soap to get the tip
of the pen really clean, and then it works quite well. It's a glass pen from...
that's going very nicely now...from Grand Illusions.
Now I've got to turn this a little bit to get the last bit of wording out I think...yes
we are...yes, it's a whole technique in itself, but what a bit of elegance.
[Writing with glass pen]
Glass pen from...that's doing very nicely now.
It's got a wonderful old look about it too, the words.
More ink we need.
Continually ink in and ink out...whoops a bit too much ink there. Wow, these old scribes
had to have practice;
that's what I need here.
