The objective of the project "My Open Source Cura" is to confront
with the common condition of many people who share my same disease.
A critical condition in which it is extremely different
to have the possibility to access multiple opinions and points of view.
And, maybe, to be able to navigate through the different strategies
proposed by different cultures or philosophical orientations.
Or even to come into contact with other people, maybe with the same disease
or who found a cure, with real life experiences, who are able to provide human contributions
which are of fundamental importance and which are too rarely part of what we usually call "cure".
To do this, to explore what a word like "cure" can mean today,
I have found myself in the need to transform my digital medical records
into formats that are more open and accessible to everyone,
maybe even from their home computer or from their smartphone.
The "cure" which I speak about is a dynamic situation,
in which multiple people, doctors, professionals, creatives, artists,
surgeons and scientists can finally rejoin into being a society
which is able to converse, to feel supportive,
to be able to be open to the contributions of different cultures and possibilities,
and to give shape to solutions which are able to combine humanity,
technology, technique, philosophy and art.
A cure which never ends, complete, human, with dignity.
To do this, it has been of fundamental importance
to embrace a wide and profound discourse about the ways in which information circulates in digitally.
From the more technical discourses on formats, up to the philosophical frameworks behind them.
A great state of bad luck, such as being sick with such an awful disease,
transforming into a great state of luck: being able to find a cure and a new definition for the word "Cure".
