Dear friends we must neither give room for temptation, nor should we give in to temptation,
because temptation is what brings us under the power of the enemy if we fall to temptation.
And so temptation needs to be avoided at all costs. It is written flee temptation. Jesus
said that Satan walks around like a roaring lion on this earth looking to whom he may
devour, and he surely will devour many. There are many temptations in this world. Many stumble
in temptation, and so they start to blame the temptation saying hey you know I was tempted
and I fell. Well that's exactly what happened to the first humans. They got tempted and
they fell and look what happened, DEATH. I want to warn you; don't let yourself be tempted
as much as possible and do not fall to temptation.
When we are free in Christ from sin, that is we believe in him and have repented and
turned to him and you've sought the Lord and he has come into your life, (I urge you that
if this hasn't happened go seek him), when we are free do not go back to temptation.
Because what happens is as soon as you fall to temptation even one-time, Satan now has
a hold on you again. In some way some part of you in some area of your life. You're no
longer free. Jesus said in John 8:36 that he who sins is a slave to sin. He goes on
to say; he who the son of man set free shall be free indeed so if the Son of Man set you
free you shall be free indeed.
That's why I say first you must be set free, then you must not fall to temptation. And
if you do I want to warn you that you have just given Satan and some power in your life
and you are no longer free following Christ. Do not give into temptation it could be your
death sentence. It could be the thing that unlocks the power of the devil over your life
and you can no longer overcome sin. But I want to encourage you that if you have fallen
to temptation and you are now in a bondage in sin realizing that you are without hope,
I want to tell you that today there is hope that you can turn back to Christ repent, come
out of it, he will free you and then you don't go back.
If you do go back you got to repent. You can't just keep going back and repenting every day
that is not what works in fact that's called bondage and people who do that cannot enter
heaven because they're in bondage to Satan. Remember Satan is walking around looking for
whom he may devour so be wise and don't let yourself be tempted. If you are tempted endure
and do not give in and you will stay free. Remember you do not need to leave your freedom
in Christ. Nobody is forcing you to, there is no law making you, no force on earth that
can make you, it is completely your own choice.
In the end your heart will prove in the end whether you really belong to the Lord or not
or really want him because if you really do then you will do all you can to make sure
you stay free and you do endure temptation when it does come once you are free. When
you are already a sinner then it's true you can't stop sinning and you're bound to sin,
a slave to sin you are just not free. But Jesus Christ sets people free and not your
own effort. And so once you've decided hey I better repent I better go to Jesus I better
get him to free me, I better seek him who is alive and who speaks and hears from heaven
right now and wont turn me away. And so you go and do that. You go and experience his
power that does come from heaven. And you suddenly realize you are free.
Well that's the point need to stay in. you do not need to go back to temptation otherwise
you leave that freedom. That's called walking on the broad way to destruction. The narrow
way is when you stay with Christ in the freedom he gives you. It is not works as you're already
free. You are set free by Jesus not of your own power because you can't set yourself free
from sin, nobody can. You must go to Christ and then once you're with him, you must endure
and prove your heart is for him and you don't just stop and just go back to your sin and
just give the enemy power over you and end up in hell. Because in the end you just were
a bad tree and ended up getting cut down.
Friend, it is not too late until it's too late. Make use of today workout your heart
before God and make sure that you really do want to repent and endure and stay free and
not fall to temptation of lusts, sins, all kinds of evils, and instead you don't want
to love your immoral *** lifestyle anymore. Depends if you want that. If you want to leave
it, Jesus will set you free. And once you're free don't go back. If you do go back you
better repent. Stay in freedom otherwise you will not overcome. Only overcomers will enter
the kingdom of heaven
