Hi, I'm Less Whitley. I'd like to talk to you right now about how to get great abs.
You're abdominals are part of your overall core which supports your upper body. Your
upper torso and lower body are connected by your midsection which involves your obliques,
the abdominal muscles, as well as the lower back. To train them together to operate as
one functional unit is key in developing a nice toned midsection. If you look at Olympic
level lifting professionals as well as Olympic caliber swimmers or Olympic caliber swimmers,
they all have a well-defined and toned midsection because they train their body as one unit
to function as such. To isolate one particular area may allow you to develop strong tone
abdominals but it's going to limit the overall results you are going to see at the end of
the day. Train your body together to have it become part of an overall whole. If you
have a great strong defined upper body and you have a great defined lower body, to work
on the midsection with specific isolation exercises can help you achieve those results.
But, to target and isolate just particularly the abdominal area and neglect the rest of
your body, the results will never be as great as you could if you trained your body as a
whole. Be patient, be dedicated, have a good overall healthy diet as well as an active
healthy lifestyle to achieve those healthy results.
