That just felt really weird, and uncomfortable.
I don't really like dropping expensive electronics on their heads.
But, welcome to Computer TV. I'm here.
This i s the Olympus Stylus Tough 6000.
Now, this thing has so many features I don't know where to start.
Okay, it's freezeproof, it's shockproof,
it's waterproof, it's a digital camera,
what? It's everything.
I mean this is top of the line guys.
I mean, listen, if you like to go mountain biking,
or hiking, or scuba diving,
if you are like one of those crazy adventurous people,
this is definitely a camera for you. Okay?
And, it takes really high quality pictures.
We're talking about a 10 megapixel camera right here.
Freezproof. What? Well, to tell you,
it is freezeproof down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit.
Shockproof up to five feet. Okay, so even my little sister can drop it,
and it will be okay.
It's waterproof as deep as 10 feet.
Okay, so it's not really for scuba diving, but definitely for snorkeling.
It's a 10 megapixel camera, as I mentioned.
It has 42MB of internal storage,
but it also takes xD and microSD cards.
Okay, so you can have all the pictures you want.
It also has movie mode, as well as 25 different shooting modes,
including three underwater modes.
I mean come on guys, this is not your average camera at all.
It has ISO capabilities up to 1600. It also has a 2.7 inch LCD HD screen.
We'll show you all around it, you don't want to stop watching this video now
because, let me tell you, these features are incredible.
Okay, first of all, let's take a 360 look around the camera.
You have your lens up here, you have your built in flash as well.
And, on the top, you have your on and your off button.
And you also have your shutter release right here.
Let's turn the camera over, we're going to power it on,
like so, okay.
So all of these buttons are sort of scary looking at first back here,
let's get out of this. But actually.
it's not hard to navigate around this camera.
You have your zoom right here, you're wide and your tight.
Here you have your selection wheel, so you can go from different modes,
such as movie mode, auto mode,
they even have a beauty mode, which we'll get to in a second.
Right here you have your menu button, your play back,
you have your okay button right in the middle,
that's kind of like your enter key,
you have macro mode.
Along the edges you have your exposure, your flash,
and down below you have your self-timer.
You have your display button right here,
so if you don't want anything on your LCD screen
when taking your pictures you just push that display button
and you actually have over three different kinds of displays,
which is kind of cool. Uh, alright,
and then you also have your trash button. Nice.
Alright, when you turn it over, we'll open up this little lever right here,
and you'll see, that's your USB port. That's how you plug into your computer,
load up all your pictures. You got the speaker right down below.
And, underneath the camera,
we're going to open it up, and you'll see,
just push that in, and you'll see you have a rechargeable battery,
and a slot down here for your xD and your microSD card.
Alright, let's turn it back on, power back on,
turn her over, alright.
There you go, nice view of that 2.7 inch LCD screen once more.
Alright, right now we are in manual mode,
and you can tell by looking at the wheel, right here.
And, we're going to go onto menu, I'm going to show you a couple
of the settings. As you can see this doesn't really look like a lot
of other menus. It's much more colorful.
You have these pretty little icons to navigate around.
We'll go into set-up, right here.
And, if you scroll down you'll get to,
let's see, where are we?
Tap control.
Tap control is a nifty little feature. We'll go into here, turn it on,
now this is great if you are snowboarding
and you have gloves on, if you're snorkeling
and it's hard to press a button to take a picture of control your settings.
Alright, so once you're in here and you set up tap control,
you'll see, I'm going to turn it over,
actually it's better to see it this way,
I'm going to tap the underneath of the camera,
I need to tap it a couple of times actually,
tap the underneath of the camera, or tap the sides of the camera,
and look you have your macro mode setting come up,
and if you tap the other side you have your flash come up.
So, it's great, if you don't, you know,
have the ability to press a button right away,
You just put on tap contol.
Okay, so let's get out of here. Okay.
So, let's move along to scene selection,
so you can see all the different scene selections.
We'll go on down, you'll see you have portrait,
landscape, night,
um, sport, indoor,
candle, ohhh.
And you can scroll through all the different options,
and you have plenty of selections.
Documents, that's one that you don't see everyday.
You can take a picture of a word document,
and have the right settings for it.
So as I told you before, there're 25 different scene selections,
including three underwater, which are here,
if you want to go snorkeling, we'll keep on going down.
And um, that's about it. That's it for scene selection.
Alright, we're going to go into movie mode.
Now, movie mode, you can take movies up to 640 X 480 resolution.
And, if you go into menu, go back into settings,
and here you can control all the settings for your movie mode as well.
Alright, so let's get out of here.
And, if you back into manual mode, I want to show you guys something cool,
that this camera has, so we're going to go back into manual.
And, if you click on menu, and you go down right here,
this is panorama. Now, panorama, basically,
you can record multiple images, and it paste them all together
so you have this panoramic view of wherever you are.
So if you're like in a really, you know, scenic place,
and you want to make sure you get the whole picture,
you can do that with panorama view.
So, I'm going to show you it right now actually.
Ok, so basically, if you can see,
you take a picture, by hitting the shutter release,
and then the camera says to move the camera until you get that, there's a little dot,
right here, I don't know if you can see it,
and so you get the dot in the box, okay so you kind of have to play with it
a little bit. Oh, ok, wait, hold on,
hold on. Oh, there you go, I got it,
and you do this one more time, it's like connect the dots.
There you go. There you go.
Okay, so now it's busy.
It's working, it's pasting the pictures together.
Okay, look at that.
It's still working, but as you can see,
as it rotates, it connects the three images together,
you have a full and complete panoramic view.
And, I think that's great for all you adventurous people out there.
You definitely want to get your full picture.
So, another cool thing about it.
Now, if you see on your selection wheel,
you also have beauty mode.
Let's go into beauty mode, beauty mode is pretty cool,
basically it softens shadows, it smoothes out wrinkles and blemishes,
um. hey listen, if you're a little vein and we all can be sometimes,
beauty mode may come into handy, and you don't see that very often on cameras
as it's own selection, so that's pretty neat.
Alright, so, I think I showed you all of the coolest and newest features
on this Olympus. As I told you,
if you're an adventurous person, you like to get out and about,
you like to get in the woods, and you know, go hiking,
snowboarding, this is definitely a camera for you.
I'm not sure if I told you this, but it's only waterproof up to 10 feet,
so, you know, for you hardcore scuba divers,
I don't know if this will work for you,
but definitely for you snorkelers it will work.
It's freezeproof down to 14 degrees,
and it's shockproof up to five feet.
Ok, so, you know, if my little sister drops it
it will be just fine.
So if your *** cameras, you want something that's more durable
than the average camera, check this one out.
