Hi, I'm Jamaica from Jamaica's Cakes in West LA. On behalf of Expert Village, we are now
going to mix our wet ingredients for red velvet cake. Get your stand mixer or your hand held
mixer which ever you are using. Combine a 1 1/2 cup of oil; you can use vegetable oil
or canola oil, a little over a cup of butter milk which adds richness to the cake, we have
2 eggs, we are going to add some vanilla extract; you can use vanilla paste if you don't have
vanilla extract. A teaspoon of vinegar; it's also going to help with the reaction between
the powder the cocoa powder and the vinegar to create the red and the red food coloring
to just give it that extra little bit of red. You just want to mix it till it's nice and
smooth in a single consistency, and we're done.
