A slice can be automatically contoured if it contains one or more Turtle Map line segments. Since automatic
contouring works by connecting the end points of the Turtle Map together with a Livewire, the richer the Turtle Map,
the higher the quality of the resulting segmentation.
You can invoke the automatic contouring functionality by first selecting a slice view. A slice view can be
selected by left clicking on it or interacting with it in some way. A black border will appear around a
selected slice view. After a slice view is selected, the
user can automatically contour it by going to the "Actions" menu and choosing "Auto-contour selected plane",
or simply by pressing CTRL+A. A contour will be generated in the selected slice view. The user may edit
the contour if necessary. Since Spotlight automatically selects
the view that the suggestion appears in, it can be easily used in conjunction with the auto-contouring
feature. Here, we ask TurtleSeg to automatically contour the slice that Spotlight suggests to us.
