So, now we're going to go over our first four measures. You want to make sure you write
these down at home. If you don't have manuscript paper, you can just draw bar lines. You just
write five lines in a row and you'll get these different bars. You'll notice we're not reading
melody anyway, we're just really looking at these different chords. Our first two measures,
we have D major, our third measure we have E minor and our fourth measure we have A seventh.
We can go through and now apply these three different chords we learned right? Our 1 major,
E major. Our 2 minor, E minor. Our 5 7th, A7. So, we have 2 bars. E major, to E minor
for a bar, A 7. We can break the chords up and do a whack and bass sound here. E minor.
A 7. D major. E minor. A 7. Or, you can do that stride. D, E minor, A. Again, D, root
5th, 2 chord, 5 chord, 2 chord, 5 chord, 1. Nice, simple ideas for running through those
four first chords that we have inquired in our first time.
