S&T AG is a registered company on the Vienna Stock Exchange.
It is present in 18 countries
in almost all Middle and Eastern European countries
plus in Japan
and if everything goes well it will be on the Moon with the help of Puli Space.
To take a closer look at what we do,
S&T Consulting Hungary
is the subsidiary company of S&T AG.
The company has 160 employees in Hungary
and it is one of the leading companies in the country's IT sector.
One of the specialties of the company is that
it satisfies the needs of companies, both large and small
let it be IT infrastructure, storage systems, ERP systems or CAD/CAM or PLM systems.
In Hungary, it is the leading provider of the CAD/CAM system.
S&T is a very innovative company
and it is continuously monitoring similar initiations in the country.
It was a great pleasure to meet with Puli Space
as we have met an innovative team
like we consider ourselves.
In the history of our company we have also had these kind of innovative initiations,
for example in 2010 we started the country’s biggest mechanical CAD/CAM teaching program.
More than a thousand high school students and higher education students
downloaded the software.
On the whole, we delivered mechanical CAD/CAM systems, specifically the Pro/Engineer, to the Hungarian technical education in a value of more than 18.7 million euros.
With this program, our goal was to endear
the technical subjects with the high school and higher education students.
Through the computerized designer system,
they could become familiar with the technical world in a playful way
and maybe start a nice engineering career.
It was also interesting from another aspect,
that we have tried to connect the technical education and the industry.
Many big companies supported this program,
for example HP, Sandvik, Gordiusz Alfa, HNS, the HAJDU, Rába. Knorr-Bremse,
and the list goes on.
One of the important parts of this program was
the nationwide Pro/Engineer CAD/CAM competition
where high school and university students could compete in two categories.
On the whole we have distributed prizes around a value of 9300 EUR for the winners.
We also support the BME FRT team.
They compete in an international competition,
where engineering students must build functioning cars
and with them they must participate in races.
We are proud to tell that
although they have only joined recently,
they already got to the 20th place out of the 90 competitors.
I would also like to add that
in this competition, teams come from all over the world
and most of the teams have way higher budgets than the Hungarian team.
I think, this is another very good example of the Hungarian ingenuity,
and also a very good example that huge achievements can be reached with even very low budgets.
We became a supporter of Puli Team because we find this project a really interesting initiation
and I also think that it connects the past with the future.
Presumably very few people know that there was already a Hungarian designed vehicle on the Moon,
the Lunar Roving Vehicle that was developed by Ferenc Pavlics.
We hope that there will be another vehicle on the Moon by Puli Space
and we would like to be part of it
by giving them technological support.
We think that this cooperation will be prosperous,
because this is a very innovative thing.
PTC that produces the software we distribute in Hungary,
just introduced the new generation Creo software
that gives perfect solutions to the problems that Puli Space encounters,
the rapid processing of new ideas
and the test of the new item variations and the cooperation between the team members.
In my opinion the Creo that follows the path of Pro/Engineer and CoCreate
is a perfect tool for Puli Space.
To see this from a wider perspective,
I think it is also important from the national aspect that there is a cause for which you could stand out,
you can support it
and I think this can also help the Hungarian space and aircraft industry to gain a bigger momentum.
And I think this is a very important period of the Hungarian industry.
