Confidence, to me, is something that was instilled in me from my parents,
my father, my mother, my grandparents, family, but is something that you
build up and you maintain.
It's not something that you always have, necessarily.
Learning how to love yourself and accept yourself for who you are and
what you come with is a great first step in becoming a confident person,
because then you're not comparing yourself to everyone else out there
and everything out there, trying to be like everyone else.
You're comfortable with who you are, which makes you just shine.
You're unique, you are the only person like you on the planet, and you have
to let your uniqueness show.
Once you accept that that uniqueness deserves its own light, then you
become much more confident.
But everybody has rough days and down days and you have to really work at
picking yourself back up, looking at positive sides of life and doing
things that help you do that.
So whether it's reading a book that's a self help book or whether, for me,
jumping on my motorcycle, taking a ride, clearing my
mind, talking to God.
Those things give me the confidence I need to take another step every day.
