Welcome on this Webcampak overview video.
In this video we will be going over Webcampak mobile interface.
This interface has been created to be used on Tablets or Smartphones.
We recently updated it with new features.
It contains multiple sections,
on your left, you will find your Webcampak systems.
By clicking on a source,
the last captured picture of the selected source will be loaded.
On the main screen you will find
on the top-left corner, a button to show/hide source-list.
For example, we can hide it...
picture will be re-loaded in a bigger resolution,
and you can move/zoom inside it using your fingers.
And focus on specific portions of the picture.
You can also browse through archives,
this picture has been captured at 15:08.
We can go to the previous picture,
15:07, as you can see this Webcampak captures one picture per minute.
You can move backward or forward within archives.
If you click on "fast-forward" button, you will automatically get the latest picture,
at 15:10 in this particular example.
You can also look for a particular date and time.
For example, if we want to check a picture captured in January,
23rd January at 11:10.
The system will look inside archives to find the closest picture.
If there is no picture available it will display the closest one.
Otherwise it will display the requested picture.
Here you can see 23rd January at 11:10.
Like any other pictures, you can zoom in and move inside the picture.
Then one of the new features of Webcampak mobile,
is the ability to draw inside a picture,
and send this drawing by email.
It can be especially interesting for construction management,
if you notice any unplanned event or mistake in the project,
you can draw inside the picture and send it by email straight from Webcampak.
For example, here you can circle this bridge pillar,
and send this drawing by email to one of your contacts.
You can write down the text of your choice,
for this video it's going to be a very short text.
The picture is going to be sent by email, from Webcampak servers,
you might see on the top-left, network communications.
A pop-up confirms email was sent,
we should soon receive it.
(bip) here it is.
Let's open the email client.
The email just arrived, we can now load the enclosed picture.
As you can see, we received the picture, with the drawing embedded.
You can add almost any content to the picture, simply using your fingers,
you can circle multiple zones, add any comments...
There is no limitation in terms of number of lines or content.
To warn about a potential mistake or highlight a particular part of the picture.
You can also clear the drawing,
and circle another part of the picture,
and attract viewer's attention.
When you are in drawing mode, you cannot zoom-in and move inside the picture,
picture-interaction is locked by the stencil.
To exit drawing mode, simply click on the stencil button,
and you are back in the picture display module.
Each picture can be sent by email.
When you are not in the drawing module, the full-size picture is actually going to be sent.
Note (1/2): Pictures are sent straight from Webcampak (not from your tablet/smartphone).
Note (2/2): It makes things faster and does not use your cellular connection.
You can also attach a comment to a picture,
this comment will also be available on the desktop interface.
For example, if we add a very simple comment,
and receive a confirmation pop-up.
So if we go the previous picture, and go back to the picture with a comment,
we can see that button turned green,
to let you know that a comment has been attached to this picture.
We can then simply delete the comment from the system.
You can also browse through time-lapse video archives.
By clicking on "Videos" button,
you can see all videos generated by the system.
If we take the latest video, generated on February 5th.
You simply click on the video.
This one is a low-quality 480p video.
Click on the picture to start the video.
You can also watch it fullscreen.
By default, Webcampak will generate a time-lapse summary every 24h00.
We (and you) can also create custom videos using any interval.
You can easily go back to your sources,
if you want to display a different one, just click on it.
Then you can browse within content as we saw previously,
add a comment, send an email, send a drawing ...
browse within archives...
You can keep (or not) the left panel on screen,
it can make things easier to move between sources,
but also takes screen space and reduce picture size.
We can add a drawing ...
One last thing, you can see a "settings" button on the top-right corner.
You can use it to change language, and display Webcampak in French, English or Portuguese.
You can also find one very interesting option called "Optimize bandwidth".
Let's explain it in detail.
First, we disable bandwidth optimization and go back to the first source we saw.
By default, when you display a picture,
Webcampak will resize it and send it to your tablet/smartphone
depending of the resolution of your device.
If your smartphone can only display 640x480 pixels pictures.
Webcampak will resize the picture and send it in this resolution.
Now, if you really want to see your pictures in detail, you can disable bandwidth optimization.
Webcampak will therefore send you the full picture, using much more bandwidth.
So if you zoom inside the picture, you will get a better definition and quality (here a 12 megapixels camera).
This option is very useful to save bandwidth on devices (smartphones & tablets),
usually connected via cellular network (3G/LTE) with bandwidth and quotas limitations.
By sending, from the server, scaled-down pictures you save bandwidth and reduce loading time.
Finally, you can change language by clicking on the appropriate flag.
For example, here with the interface now in French,
including all menus and options.
Settings, Pictures, Videos ...
That's about if for this Webcampak mobile video.
