Hello, I'm Heidi Massey-***.
Thanks for tuning in to our second logistics video
in which we will cover phase two registration
as well as chapter two rules.
Phase two registration is now available
to register teams who have completed their
Release from Liability forms, they have been submitted
and have been approved.
Each team must log in to their profile on the registration website
and complete all of the required fields
by February 28, 2013.
The corresponding circles on your Roadmap will turn green
once the section has been completed successfully.
Please upload photos and technical drawings
of your engine, your fuel supply and electrical circuitry designs
as soon as possible.
This will help us ensure that your vehicle
meets all the requirements outlined in the
rules and regulations.
Helpful phase two tips and samples of technical drawings
are also available on our website.
In the team participant section, participants
who are over the legal age within their state
or their country will have the ability to electronically sign
their waivers this year.
Minors must have their waivers signed by
a parent or guardian and notarised before uploading
them in to our registration website.
Each participant must have valid health insurance
and must be enrolled in the school that they are
participating.
However, we will not be collecting copies of health insurance
cards or proof of school enrolment this year.
Each participant will confirm that they meet these requirements
by signing the waiver.
Drivers and reserve drivers will need to upload
their valid driver's license.
The chapter two rules are also now available
on the SEMA website and include important
information about travel stipends, awards,
technical inspection, fuel measurement,
drivers and more.
The travel stipend details will remain the same for
next year.
Cheques will be given to each team upon their arrival
to the competition.
Amounts range from 150 to 1500 dollars,
depending upon your location.
The award details are outlined in chapter two rules.
The first place winners in each fuel category
will receive 2000 dollars.
While the second place finish, you will receive 1000 dollars.
You can also now apply for the optional off-track awards
via the registration website.
Thanks for tuning in to our second logistics video.
Keep your questions coming by sending them
to us on our Facebook page, SEMA website
which is shell.com/ecomarathon or our twitter page.
And don't forget your relationship manager as well.
Thanks for listening.
