My name is Frans Danenberg.
I've been married to my wife Lamberta for 26 years now.
I am the pastor of the congregation Het Kompas in Almere.
I take care of this congregation together with my Children.
The service in Het Kompas starts with a welcome.
A word of grace, from the Bible.
An opening prayer.
Lord, we thank you that we have safely gathered here.
We ask your blessing over this service. We do so in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Then several songs.
Then we have the announcements.
After that we have read the Speaking of Life.
Then we take a couple of minutes of quietness.
Next is the sermon.
During the sermon we have biblelessons for teenagers
in which a Biblical subject will be discussed in an interactive way.
Next up are a few songs.
We close with a closing prayer, and a word of Grace for everyone's safe return home.
A trademark of our congregation is that we are a small group.
Yet we are very close.
We encourage and help each other thus everyone can get the attention they need.
We always have a good time.
What we do to spread the gospel as a small congregation:
In the first place we live to the gospel. That is what we aim to do and try to share.
We try to share it by our personal testimony, we are not ashamed to talk about the gospel
and spread the good news.
We also use our magazine LifeLine. We spread this in our neighbourhoods.
A stack of each edition goes to the hospital in Almere.
This spring it will also be added to a welcome to Almere giftbox for new residents of Almere.
we will also spread 2000 copies, and again at the start of 2013.
People like to read LifeLine and it is much appreciated.
