Many snakes coexist with other animals. In Florida, the eastern diamondback rattlesnakes ...
... share burrows for gopher tortoises.
In Africa, Mambas will share with spear thigh tortoises.
They know that they can’t eat the tortoise and the tortoise know that the snake won’t bother them.
Hence, they sort of can live in a symbiotic relation ship in which they get both along.
In fact, in the cool of the burrow, the mamba will use the radiating heat fro the tortoise’s shell to warm itself.
Snakes are curious animals, especially mambas.
For an instance, I’ve seen cases in which snakes had seen some type of potential prey that they would normally eat.
But for whatever reason, they are not hungry, they are in a breeding mode or for whatever reason.
They are not going to kill and eat this animal. However, they are still curious.
When the snake becomes tired of following the animal, they turn around and go their own way,
... without harming the animal.
